Information
There are many particle therapy websites from the generic at one end - yielding information on locations of facilities, technical details etc - to the specific with information about individual therapy centres at the other. The sites mentioned below take you to further links to the principal Proton Therapy websites. If you are responsible for a proton therapy site and would like to have a direct link to it from this page, please use the Contact Us facility to advise and your site will be included at the next edit.
A good place to start learning about the locations of Proton Therapy centres and, indeed, now of Carbon Ion facilities is the PTCOG website which gives access to a lot of technical information, numbers of patients treated, current status and so on. For some reason it omits any reference to Neutron Therapy facilities despite the 'P' in PTCOG meaning 'particle'.
Another site worth a look is the one provided by the National Association for Proton Therapy. National in this context is the United States of America. The website serves to give a useful insight into developments there. It has a very good explanation of the science of Proton Therapy which will be helpful to the lay reader.
